There are plenty of cases these days of communications, PR and advertising agencies being trapped in the crossfire of public criticism. They stand accused of supporting companies and organisations by manipulating, tricking or even deceiving the public. The flow chart makes it clear how we see ourselves: our CSR strategy, like our business strategy, is derived from our business. Ethics form a substantial part of our CSR strategy. That is why all the staff at Johanssen + Kretschmer subscribe to the industry’s codes of ethics. That is also why we have our own Code of Business.

 

It stipulates how J + K should cope with all the main issues of dealing in an ethically responsible way in its day-to-day advisory work. This is a clear commitment by the agency towards its clients and, when in doubt, helps all employees at J + K to make a conscientious decision that will uphold both the client’s and J + K’s reputation.

 

This makes dealing in an ethical manner the foundation for our advisory work. Business, CSR and ethics are inextricably linked.
